Innovation: GBR-Price Rail had to find innovative ways to manage restricted working areas. Use of Gecko Lorry Loader, Pallet fork attachment for crawler cranes and concrete skips to distribute other aggregates.

Efficiencies: GBR-Price Rail ability to manage efficiency was restricted due to the contract mechanism as build only however, the right first time principles within construction aided to remove waste and ensure no rework was required.

TechnicalQuality: Morgan Sindall are known in the industry for having the highest quality requirements of any Tier 1 contractor. GBR-Price Rail successfully managed the OEM and HSE files through progressive quality assurance and collaborative site mentality. 

Programme: GBR-Price Rail adopted an original development programme as their CL31 with an opportunities register to achieve key deliverables by Christmas and June ’25. GBR-Price Rail managed to create terminal float throughout the programme resulting in early hand back of key dates such as handover of contig section to other contractors Adaptability: Due to issues with the New Signalling Technology, GBR-Price Rail were required to adapt their programme to suit new timescales set out by the client. GBR-Price Rail provided a programme and met the new deadlines.
